Hi, I am Rory.
I’ve always been drawn to the stories that exist between cultures, communities, and identities. I’m a student journalist, photographer, and storyteller who believes that listening is one of the most powerful ways to create change.
Whether I’m documenting a community in Ghana, interviewing families whose voices deserve to be heard, mentoring young girls through Little Legends, or exploring language through Mandarin, I’m searching for the same thing: understanding. I don’t believe stories exist simply to be told, I believe they can build empathy, challenge assumptions, and connect people who may never have seen themselves in one another before.
Why Between Worlds?
Between Worlds began with a simple idea:
everyone has a story about belonging
Growing up, I’ve often found myself navigating different identities, cultures, and communities. Instead of trying to find one place where I fit perfectly, I became fascinated by the experiences that connect us across our differences. Between Worlds is where those conversations live.
This platform exists to document voices that are still becoming, to ask thoughtful questions, celebrate diverse experiences, and remind us that identity is never finished.
